Job Description

Are you passionate about inclusive physical education and making a lasting impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and compassionate PE Teacher to join our dedicated team.

About Us:

The school is a thriving SEN provision catering to pupils aged 5-18 with a diagnosis of ASD and related special educational needs. The staff are committed to nurturing every student’s physical and emotional wellbeing, helping them to build confidence, resilience, and a love for being active.

The Role:

As our PE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons tailored to the diverse needs of our pupils
  • Use adaptive equipment and creative strategies to ensure accessibility and enjoyment for all students
  • Promote teamwork, self-esteem, and personal achievement through sport and physical activity
  • Work closely with our wider multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff, and parents/carers

We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) or a sports coach/HLTA with a specialism or strong interest in Physical Education
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN (desirable but not essential – training provided)
  • Driving license essential
  • A positive, flexible mindset and a strong commitment to inclusive practice
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families
