Job Advert: Pastoral Support Staff (Boarding)
Location: Independent School, Medway
Hours: 4:00 pm – Bedtime & 7:30 am – 10:00am
Live-In Options Available

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Staff Member to join our thriving independent school in Medway. This vital role involves providing high-quality care and support to our boarding students during the evenings, helping to create a nurturing and positive environment for their personal and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional and pastoral support to students during non-academic hours.
• Supervise and assist with evening routines, from study time to bedtime.
• Ensure students’ well-being and safety, responding to any concerns or issues.
• Build positive relationships with students, offering a listening ear and guidance.
• Assist with any evening activities or house-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• A genuine interest in student welfare and well-being.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a similar pastoral or care role is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to work flexibly within the specified hours.
