Job Description

Nursery Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a nursery assistant to join an established nursery that provides a stimulating learning environment for children ages 2 - 4 and support the dedicated staff who work with the children to strengthen their social, emotional and spiritual values.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing the children in your care with a safe and engaging environment
  • Supervising fun and educational activities
  • Supporting nursery teacher with daily tasks such as taking attendance, preparing materials for activities,
  • Ensuring safety of the children
  • Helping children learn phonics, numeracy and language through daily activities 

Requirements of the role:

  • Experience of working in a nursery setting or with young children
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools – or other relevant qualification
