Job Description
We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a young learner with a diagnosis of ASC in a home setting.
Sometimes learners are unable to access education in a formal setting - do you have experience working in situations like this? Or have you worked with ASC pupils in a school and would be happy to transfer those fundamental skills to a different setting?
Roles like this are unique, exciting and varied. One day you could be studying the KS2 curriculum at home, the next day you could be taking a trip to a farm, the following you may be at a museum. This is an opportunity to find points of learning outside of a classroom, support the pupil and the other adults in a creative and empathetic way and create a nurturing environment wherever the learning may take place. The learner is a bright boy with a passion for science, maths and engineering. He does not exhibit challenging behaviour.
Have you got:
* Experience working with pupils with SEN
* Patience, resilience and a sense of humour
* Qualifications relating to supporting learners, CACHE level 3 in TA or any other relevant qualifications
* A creative and holistic approach to learning
* Own transport is essential
We can offer you
* Great rates of pay and flexibility
* The chance to really make a difference to a learners life
* A unique and varied role where no day is the same.
