We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team.

Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Medway

Role Overview: As a SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will provide individualised assistance and create a nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, or physical disabilities.
  • Assist students with academic tasks, sensory activities, social skills development, and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) under the guidance of the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their self-esteem, independence, and emotional well-being.
