Job Description

We require a Headteacher for two sites for the same organisation – one in Ashford and one in Cranbrook. Both are small and nurturing specialist schools with between 50 and 60 pupils at each school. The schools are calm, quiet and orderly settings where pupils can be supported to develop academically and emotionally. The schools are graded outstanding.

The school’s vision is that every child should go to an inspiring and life changing school, have the best teaching and benefit from all services working in partnership with each other to ensure their future life chances are improved.

Excellent practice doesn't happen by chance. The schools invest considerably in high quality CPD for staff. For example, this academic year a number of staff are travelling to New York to look at best practice in some of the schools in the city. They are passionate about supporting their staff so that they can bring out the best in the pupils they support.

At the core of the schools is a drive to improve life chances of children. They will go above and beyond, set high expectations and improve outcomes by working together with others.

If you have SLT experience in a mainstream school or a SEN school and are looking for a new challenge, please do give me a call so we can discuss this role in more depth.

We are seeking an experienced, positive, dynamic and enthusiastic Nurture Lead who is a primary trained teacher with experience in teaching pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties.

Start Date September 2025
