Job Description

Receptionist – Secondary School (Near Maidstone)
Location: Just outside Maidstone, Kent
Contract: Temporary – Until the end of Term 2 (December 2025)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join a welcoming secondary school just outside of Maidstone. This is a temporary position running until the end of Term 2, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students

• Managing incoming calls and emails efficiently

• Supporting with general administrative duties

• Ensuring safeguarding and visitor procedures are followed at all times

• Assisting staff with day-to-day office tasks as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school office or busy reception environment preferred

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Confident using Microsoft Office and school systems (SIMS experience desirable)

• Professional, approachable, and reliable
