We are working with an Independent School and College for learners with a diagnosis of autism, who are searching for an Examinations Manager.  The provision supports learners from primary age up to 25 years old.  There are a number of subjects and levels being attained by learners, from Functional Skills and GCSEs to vocational Post 16 subjects. 

As the Examinations Manager (Data & Timetabling), you will strategically lead the organisation, compliance, and secure delivery of all internal and external examinations. Serving as the primary liaison for the JCQ and awarding bodies, you will guarantee total regulatory compliance across all testing cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Securely manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of examination materials.
  • Administer candidate registrations, master timetables, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise the invigilation team.
  • Coordinate with the SENCO to implement candidate access arrangements.
  • Oversee rooming logistics, staffing, and live exam sessions.
  • Direct results day operations and certificate distribution.
  • Manage the school’s MIS (Arbor) to ensure data integrity and tracking accuracy.
  • Generate analytical data reports for the SLT and student progress reports for parents.
  • Construct the annual school timetable, balancing staff specialisms and complex therapy interventions.
  • Execute mid-year timetable adjustments to meet evolving student requirements.
  • Participate in professional development and train staff on examination protocols.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in exam administration, invigilator management, and school logistics.
  • Deep understanding of JCQ regulations and awarding body standards.
  • Advanced proficiency with school MIS systems, preferably Arbor, and data handling.
  • Elite communication skills to collaborate with diverse educational stakeholders.
  • Superb time-management skills to meet rigid, competing deadlines.
  • Absolute discretion with sensitive data and a calm demeanour under pressure.
