Kent Teaching Solutions is working with a lovely school in the Medway area that is looking for a reliable, organised and friendly School Administrator to join their team from Term 2.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy school environment and wants to make a positive contribution to the day-to-day running of a school.
Experience working within a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting would be highly desirable, although we would also love to hear from candidates with strong administrative skills who are keen to work in an educational environment.
The Role
As a School Administrator, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing general administrative support to the school office.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries.
- Welcoming visitors, parents and pupils in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating school databases.
- Supporting staff with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Assisting with attendance, pupil records and other school administration as required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong organisational and communication skills.
- Is confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
- Can work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Has a friendly, approachable and professional manner.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Has previous school administration experience, ideally within a SEND setting.
