An independent school in Tunbridge wells are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computing Teacher to join their dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will teach Computing to years 5-8, inspiring students to develop a love for technology and computing.

This is a part-time position, with the teacher expected to work 2.5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Computing lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of current computing trends and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Education.
  • Experience teaching in an independent school setting.
  • Familiarity with project-based learning approaches.
