Job Description

Temporary Role with the Possibility of Permanent

Our primary school client near Maidstone has an exciting opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in one of our Upper Key Stage 2 classes.

Recent experience as a Teaching / Learning Support Assistant, in particular the planning and delivering of individual and group interventions is desirable. Your ability to build relationships, have a positive outlook and a willingness to try different approaches is essential. You will be well supported by the SENCO and class teacher to facilitate high quality, independent learning and help all pupils achieve their very best.

In return, the school will offer professional development as well as a supportive team to work with - this is a great opportunity to join a friendly staff and help to realise the school vision. 

This is a fixed term position until August 2022 when the contract will be reviewed against funding. Hours of work will be 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Other duties to include leading 1:1 and small group interventions as well as lunchtime supervision.
