Are you an experienced and passionate SENDCO looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) to join our vibrant and supportive school in West Kent on a maternity cover basis, starting as soon as possible.
About the Role:
As our SENDCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all students with additional needs receive the support and provision necessary to thrive. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective SEND strategies that promote inclusion and achievement for all.
Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality, inclusive education
โ
Coordinating and reviewing EHCPs and interventions
โ
Liaising with external agencies to secure the best outcomes for students
โ
Providing training and guidance to staff on SEND best practices
What We’re Looking For:
โ A qualified teacher with SENDCO accreditation (or working towards it)
โ Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP process
โ Excellent communication and leadership skills
โ Experience working with a diverse range of additional needs
โ A proactive and compassionate approach to inclusion
