“You were always super good to me and got me work every day as a supply teacher. Thanks for everything you have done for me. You’re the best!”
Words cannot describe how amazing everyone is at KTS! I started with them last year and they have stopped at nothing to find myself and others roles that lead to permanent roles. I am happily in a permanent role as a teacher and I cannot thank them enough for believing that I was perfect for the role. Always friendly, always genuine and just really lovely people. Will always recommend!
I've got nothing but praise for Gary and the rest of the Team at Kent Teaching Solutions. I really feel that you take a genuine interest in me, want me to do well and be happy in my work. Thank you for looking for the best options for me and I'm looking forward to getting more work in some lovely schools.
Kent Teaching Solutions are second to none! They are really good at understanding what your requirements and preferences are and effectively finding placements that suit you. Working with them is an absolute breeze, and I have recommended them to all my friends who are looking to join a teaching agency.
Excellent service. I went along to look for Teaching Assistant work on a supply basis and KTS explained that those vacancies don't come up often and they suggested if I wanted to see what it might be like doing supply teaching then they could arrange this for me for one day without me having to give my notice in in my current job. If I didn't like it then nothing lost. However, by the end of my interview with them they had found me the perfect TA role. Thank you so much. I would highly recommend them.
The whole team at Kent teaching solutions have been amazing from start to finish, especially Gary! They have been very helpful and always there when I needed. Kent teaching solutions has been the only agency in Kent that actually found a place for me to work within a week! I have nothing but praise for the service I have received, Thank you so much. I would highly recommend them!!
I know two friends that have both worked for you and tell me you are fantastic!! Always get them work where and when they want it, and pay them every week for it. Would recommend anyone to use you in the future!!
Jade, Gary and the team have made my experiences of supply teaching fantastic. They have been very helpful and have had a genuine concern for my well being. I have nothing but praise for the service I have received, their support has been greatly appreciated.

Hi, Gary and Marc in particular have been extremely supportive and helpful since I started (only in January) at Kent Teaching Soultions. You could not wish for better service - they have been tremendously flexible and have always strived to find me the most suitable engagements with regard to convenience of access to the schools and hours to be worked.
Great stuff ! I am looking forward to working with them in the future.
Jade and Gary are always helpful and send me to exactly the right schools for me. Kent Teaching Solutions is THE agency to sign with if you want to be listened to and have your unique skills valued and utilised.
Always excellent, always beavering away to find opportunities, always easy to talk to and always happy to offer feedback. I am happy to recommend KTS to anyone.
Kent Teaching Solutions are a fantastic agency to work for. I have been working with them since Sept 2016 and have only praise for them. They have provided me with work to suit my needs. They listen to me and do not try to force their own agenda on me.
Gary & the team have been great in finding me good placements and they are very flexible, great service!

The number 1 place for teacher recruitment in Kent. I know two friends that registered with you and were both working two days later.!!!!
Great location, able to pop in a speak with a recruitment advisor who's really helpful.
Such a friendly and helpful way to go about looking for work in this specialism.
We knew when we first met Sarah that she was something special. At the time, she was looking for a first position as a teaching assistant. We helped her find a school where her obvious potential would be nurtured. It didn’t take long before she had built up the confidence to train as a qualified teacher, and she is now concentrating on developing SEN experience and qualifications.
From Teaching Assistant to specialist SEN teacher
When Wendy first came to us, she was only a final-year student. But it was obvious to us that she was a star of the future. We initially found her placements as a supply teacher while we took time to find the right permanent job for her. Our investment paid off; she has risen rapidly within her primary school and has just been appointed associate head teacher at just 27 years old.
Associate head teacher by the age of 27
We knew Rachael had great promise, but her first placement as a teaching assistant ended early and the school decided not to take her on permanently. We took time to ask the school why and they said she hadn’t been strong enough on behaviour management. With this feedback in mind we held fire until the perfect opportunity for her came along. She is now flourishing in a one-to-one support role, where she can play to her strength in nurturing on an individual level.
Finding the right career path in teaching
After a two-year apprenticeship as a teaching assistant in a secondary school, Jack was adamant that he was best suited to Keystage 3 and up – but we could see his potential to make a real contribution in the primary sector. After our initial meeting, we spoke to one of our client primary schools about Jack and they were keen to meet him. Jack was sceptical at first, as he was convinced that he wanted to work in secondary schools, but we advised him to go for the interview. He came out buzzing – he loved the feel and ethos of the school, and they loved him. Jack was offered a permanent position, which he accepted, and both parties were extremely happy.
Knowing our candidates better than they know themselves
Ann was on the point of leaving education when we came across her CV. She had been working in the same school for 10 years, but personal problems meant she was no longer able to give the job 100%, so she had handed in her notice. We discussed the flexibility of supply work; she was wary, but agreed to meet with us. During the meeting we were able to answer all her questions, which reassured her. As a result, we found her some casual supply work in nearby schools and she got amazing feedback. It wasn't long before she was offered a long-term position with the flexibility she needed. If it wasn't for our initial chat, Ann was debating leaving education all together. It’s fantastic that with some creative thinking we were able to help her get her confidence back and we have another brilliant teacher working in education.
Finding a flexible opportunity to persuade a great teacher to stay in education
Becky had just finished her maternity cover and was really specific that she only wanted to work two days a week within a 5-mile radius of her home. Ideally she wanted to a permanent job-share so she could plan her weeks, as opposed to doing ad-hoc supply in different schools. Such jobs are hard to come by, but Becky was an excellent teacher, so we decided to market proactively on her behalf to see if we could create an opening for her. We drew up a list of schools that fell within her catchment area and sent a flyer selling Becky to each school, following up the mail campaign with phone calls. It wasn't long before Becky was invited to an interview, at which she was successful. She is now enjoying the job-share that she wanted, which enables her to continue her vocation for teaching but fits in with the demands of her new family.
Proactive marketing to create a flexible solution for a new mum
Ellie was a newly qualified teacher who had just finished her teaching placements. She had already started to apply for teaching jobs for the upcoming term but wasn't having any success at interview stage, so she thought it would be a good idea to do some supply work to enhance her experience in the classroom. At first she was quite nervous about working in a school she didn't know, so we took time to discuss each potential school and go through their OFSTED report with her until she felt more confident. After a few weeks, Ellie was being asked back to the same schools on a regular basis as the feedback was so positive. One school in particular was looking for a Year 3 maternity position and asked if Ellie would like to do this, saying they would support her through her NQT year. Ellie was delighted and accepted the position and was pleased to make a start on completing her NQT year.
Helping a NQT get the confidence to start her career in teaching
Tony had served in the army for 5 years and since leaving the forces he hadn’t known what career path to follow. We discussed the role of a teaching assistant with him because we felt he had the right qualities and experience. Tony was really excited about the role, so we coached him through what a school would be looking for and successfully helped him land a job as a one-to-one behaviour teaching assistant. He has now been in the role for three years, and has become an integral part of his school and the support network for the child with whom he works.
New career in teaching for former solider
Since taking early retirement, Maureen had completed several supply assignments through another agency, however she hadn’t been happy with her placements and was on the point of retiring completely. When we first spoke with her it was instantly obvious to us that the assignments had been totally inappropriate for her, including being sent to year groups that she was uncomfortable with. This resulted in her losing confidence. When we registered Maureen we completed a detailed analysis of her skills and qualities and the supply placements she had been assigned. We created a clear plan of action with her, agreeing the schools and assignments that we would place her in. We stuck to the agreed strategy and she is now a regular first-choice teacher for several schools.
Finding the right jobs to create a successful second career for a semi-retired teacher
When one of George’s family required care, he was forced to give up his established teaching job and relocate at short notice. New to Kent, he was unfamiliar with the local schools. We carried out a thorough face-to-face interview with him to understand his skills, character, personal ambitions and preferences. From this, we created a tailored marketing plan for George. We contacted the head teachers of schools that matched his career aspirations and arranged three interviews for him within a day. He successfully secured a long-term assignment within a week, which led to a permanent job. A pretty good result from a standing start!
