Kent children stepped out of school to take part in climate change protests

Young people across Kent stepped out of classes to join climate protests.

Taking inspiration from 15-year-old climate change activist Greta Thunberg, they joined other students around the world on Friday (May 24) in making their voices heard.

The Youth Strike for Climate at the Clock Tower rally in Margate was organised by Yoshimi Faux-Bowyer, 13.

She was joined by pupils from Dane Court Grammar School, Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School and St Saviour’s Church of England Junior School.
