Job Description

This school is a small primary independent SEMH school based at Eastry, near Sandwich in Kent. The school has a maximum roll of 18 children across two classes.  There is a high ratio of Teacher/LSA to help our children access education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the teaching and learning of mixed age and ability pupils and support, alongside a therapeutic team, the social, emotional and mental health of the children in the school.

If successful you will have the opportunity to be creative and innovative in your teaching, ensuring our unique curriculum meets the needs of all our children.  Your teaching needs to be engaging and exciting, providing hands on and purposeful learning experiences that will captivate the children's imagination and make links with the world around them.

As an individual, you will need to be resilient, energetic and enthusiastic in creating a fun and tangible learning environment for our pupils to begin to enjoy school and education.  You will be joining an enthusiastic dynamic team that has a strong commitment to the children in the school.

A sound understanding of primary teaching, differentiation, personalised learning, assessment and the primary national curriculum is essential for the post.
