Job Description

Key Stage 2 Teacher – Maternity Cover – April Start

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join a dynamic and dedicated team as a Key Stage 2 teacher in to cover maternity leave. This is a fixed term role to start in April 2022 until January 2023.

This role is in an Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING school, there are around 120 pupils on roll and for this reason, team work is very important. The school is always heavily oversubscribed and is very much at the heart of the community, working closely with the local Church.

You will:

• Have effective classroom management skills
• Have an excellent understanding of how children learn
• Be able to provide stimulating learning opportunities which lead to excellent pupil progress and wellbeing
• Have the ability to develop excellent working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Have very high expectations of themselves and the children in their care.
• Be able to use your own initiative but also be committed to working as part of a team
• Be creative and energetic
