Job Description

CALLING ALL GRADUATES LOOKING FOR A CAREER IN TEACHING

Are you a graduate that has thought about a career in teaching and would like to get into education but don’t have the QTS?

Then a job as a Cover Supervisor or “Supply Teacher,” as its better known, would be perfect for you.

Being a Cover Supervisor allows you to have the experience of teaching in classrooms with none of the additional responsibilities, such as planning, preparation and marking whilst getting paid a very competitive salary for doing so.

Some of the duties a Cover Supervisor can expect to perform are as follows:

  • Leading whole classes while cover teachers are away
  • Dealing with challenging behaviour in the classroom
  • Making sure all students are focused and on track to meeting the lesson objectives
  • Prepare the classroom for lessons
  • Help any students who are struggling with the work set for their cover lessons

Some of the duties you don’t have to do are:

  • Plan lessons
  • Mark class or homework
  • Set homework
  • Differentiate
  • Set targets

We will be able to keep you working on all the days you want to work but give you the flexibility to have time off if needed. You are paid every week for all the days worked the previous week.

There are no timesheets to do.

All local school in and around where you live.

You are payrolled automatically via PAYE so tax and NI are deducted for you, no self-tax return needed.

If you would like to find out more and start teaching immediately then please click 'Apply Now' or call the office on 01622 804025 or email [email protected] to find out more!
