The pupils require a teacher with compassion and empathy to help engage them and encourage learning in a supportive and caring environment.
What the role involves
- Planning and deliveringĀ engaging and differentiated Science lessons that inspire curiosity in students aged [11-16].
- Creating a safe and nurturing learning environmentĀ where pupils feel understood and respected.
- Developing and implementingĀ individualised education plans (EHCPs) that address both academic and emotional needs.
- Using creative and imaginative teaching strategiesĀ to make scientific concepts accessible and exciting.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary teamĀ of staff, including teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leadership, to provide holistic support.
- Acting as a positive role model, demonstrating patience, empathy, and resilience, even on challenging days.
What we’re looking for in you
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with students with SEMH and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- A resilient, patient, and kind approach, with strong and empathetic behaviour management skills.
- The ability to use imaginative flair to engage and motivate hard-to-reach students.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.
