We are seeking 2 dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team. This role involves working closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning, helping them to develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits. We have roles available in EYFS/KS1 and KS3/4.
The successful candidates will be patient, reliable and committed to promoting the wellbeing and progress of every child they support. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENDCo and other staff to ensure pupils’ needs are met effectively.
Essential qualities:
- A caring and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to remain calm, flexible and proactive
- Classroom experience, either in mainstream or SEN
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
Desirable qualities:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Full, clean driving license and confidence to drive a minibus
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Understanding Autism certification
- Working knowledge of PECs and/or Makaton
