About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled teacher to join our team, working with a Year 6 class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASD and SLD, including communication difficulties.
  • Implement a therapeutic, child-centred approach that supports emotional regulation and wellbeing
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teaching assistants, and external professionals
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
  • Create a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess progress, adapting strategies to meet individual needs

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils with ASD and complex needs, preferably in KS2
  • A strong understanding of therapeutic approaches
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
  • Experience with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
