We are looking for individuals that are passionate about Chess and are available after school to be a Chess Coach!
The club will run on Tuesdays, either from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm or from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm, with the coach arriving around 15 minutes earlier for set-up. The session itself runs for around 1 hour, and they are looking to pay £40 per session.
We are ideally looking for someone who has:
- strong child-management and group-management skills
- a professional, school-facing manner
- experience in teaching, TA work, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work, or activity leadership
- a good level of chess knowledge, with rated players preferred
For us, the ability to communicate well with children and lead a group confidently is just as important as chess strength. Most of our students are junior beginners, so we value structure, reliability, energy, and clear teaching very highly.
