Teaching Assistant – Rainham x 2

We are looking for 2 Teaching Assistants to work between the dates of 11th May to the 18th June.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Support students’ learning

    • Help individuals or small groups understand lessons.

    • Provide extra help to students who are struggling.

    • Encourage participation and confidence.

  2. Assist the teacher

    • Prepare learning materials and classroom resources.

    • Set up equipment for lessons.

    • Help with classroom management and behaviour.

  3. Work with special educational needs (SEN) students

    • Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.

    • Adapt activities to suit different learning abilities.

  4. Administrative tasks

    • Record student progress.

    • Mark simple work or homework.

    • Organize classroom displays and resources.

  5. Supervision

    • Monitor students during activities, break time, or school trips.

    • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

Teaching Assistants usually work in:

Entry Requirements (UK)

Many schools expect:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)

  • A qualification such as:

    • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning

    • Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning
