Outreach Tutor
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Tutor to support students who are unable to access mainstream education. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about helping young people re-engage with learning and build confidence in a supportive, one-to-one or small-group setting.
The Role:
- Deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support students with academic progress, confidence, and engagement
- Work flexibly in homes, community settings, or alternative provisions
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different abilities and learning styles
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students and families
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles)
- A strong understanding of ASD and PDA is essential
- A proven history of working with children and/or young people with SEND
- A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire reluctant learners
- Relevant qualifications or subject knowledge
