Outreach Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Tutor to support students who are unable to access mainstream education. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about helping young people re-engage with learning and build confidence in a supportive, one-to-one or small-group setting.

The Role:

  • Deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support students with academic progress, confidence, and engagement
  • Work flexibly in homes, community settings, or alternative provisions
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different abilities and learning styles
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and families

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles)
  • A strong understanding of ASD and PDA is essential
  • A proven history of working with children and/or young people with SEND
  • A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire reluctant learners
  • Relevant qualifications or subject knowledge
