  • Support students to close gaps in learning while developing self-esteem, resilience and independence
  • Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs
  • Create a calm, safe and encouraging environment where students feel supported and understood
  • Work closely with subject teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff to support individual learning plans
  • Monitor progress and celebrate successes, however small

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds HLTA status or has significant relevant experience
  • Has experience working with secondary-aged students with SEN
  • Is patient, empathetic and able to build positive, trusting relationships
  • Has the confidence to support learning in English, Maths and Science
  • Understands the challenges faced by young people with SEMH needs
  • Is committed to inclusion, wellbeing and high aspirations for all learners

We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive school environment
  • Strong pastoral systems and collaborative working with SEN and teaching staff
