About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Teacher to work across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to students with SEMH needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that prioritises student well-being, therapeutic support, and tailored education.
You will be delivering lessons across a range of subjects, with English, Maths and Science at the core.ย The role will include pastoral responsibilities and active participation in the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across a range of subjects
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and behavioural profiles
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Collaborate with SENCOs, Teaching Assistants, and therapists to support individual EHCPs
- Manage classroom behaviour using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
- Monitor and report on student progress

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

QTS / QTLS (or relevant teaching qualification)

Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to teaching

Ability to differentiate lessons to meet diverse needs

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable but not essential:
- Team Teach, MAPA, or similar behaviour training
- Experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, or specialist SEMH setting
- Subject specialism in English, Maths, Science, PE, or PSHE
