Social Science Teacher (Immediate Start)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and highly skilled Social Science Teacher to work at a Maidstone school located in the heart of Maidstone,
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality teaching across a range of subjects, which may include Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology, primarily at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
The Role and Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons across the Social Science curriculum.

Monitor, assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic ambition.

Contribute to the ongoing development of departmental resources, curriculum planning, and extra-curricular activities (e.g., debating clubs, university preparation).

Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and guidance to a group of students.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualifications.

A relevant degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, or a related Social Science field.

Proven experience teaching at GCSE and A-Level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.

Exceptional subject knowledge and a passion for social sciences.

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and challenge all learners.

The ability to start immediately or with minimal notice period.
