We are looking for a caring, resilient and proactive individual to support students in a mainstream secondary school.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND.
- Work as a whole classroom assistant to support the teacher.
- Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Foster positive relationships to promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, behaviour plans and learning targets.
We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or otherwise).
- A calm, empathetic and patient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3, or willingness to train).
