We are looking to appoint an innovative and inspirational special needs teacher for a developing Sixth Form Provision. The successful candidate will require a range of essential skills in delivering a curriculum based on Preparing for Adulthood for young adults with a range of Special Educational Needs.
Are you a motivated and enthusiastic teacher? We need someone to join this highly skilled team, making a difference to young adults with profound, severe and complex needs. If you want to teach in a welcoming, joyful school community, and you share our passion and determination to prepare young people for adulthood, then we have the ideal teaching role for you!
We offer a range of opportunities to ensure our students are prepared to be successful in their next steps, whether that be college, the world of work, apprenticeships, a volunteer role or a fully supported environment. Our Sixth Form offer includes: Duke of Edinburgh Award, employability and careers education, life skills, a range of accreditations, work experience and much more.
Experience of working in a special needs setting and teaching young people with ASD as well as learning difficulties is desirable, but not essential. If you work in a mainstream setting and are curious about Special Needs Schools, you are welcome to contact us to find out more.
