SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Role: Teaching Assistant (SEN support in a mainstream primary school)
Location: Rainham (ME8)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons
- Help the teacher to create nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, safe, and supported.
- Use a variety of support strategies and resources to cater to the individual needs and interests of each child.
- Support the teacher to assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and guidance to promote continuous growth and development.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other staff to support the holistic development of every child.
Requirements:
- Understanding of SEN, specifically ASC
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Creative and innovative approach to teaching, with a commitment to providing an enriching and stimulating learning environment.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities.
