We are looking for an Education Consultant to work a few days to a week per year in a supervisory and training capacity.
The college is a small, independent training provider of veterinary nursing apprentices, working from a training Centre in Faversham, Kent.
We are seeking the support of an education consultant, familiar with FE quality procedures, and able to assist us by performing a formal lesson observation for each tutor in our team of three. This would be performed over two days each year.
The following dates as a guideline have been proposed –
- Undertake one face-to-face observation on 2nd May (between 10am – 4pm avoiding breaks). This is a special day of training that takes place periodically during the year, not to students but their workplace assessors.
The day’s lessons start at 9.30am, with morning break at 11am-11.15 and lunch at 12.45 – 1.15pm, afternoon break at 2.45-3pm.
These observations would be of the tutors to the student groups:
- Undertake two face-to-face observations on Tuesday 6th May (one in the morning session, one in the afternoon = two tutors)
- One face-to-face observation on the morning of Wednesday 7th May (one tutor)
- Meet with Head of Centre to provide verbal feedback & recommendations on the afternoon of 7th May
If you have previous experience in a similar role, particularly in further or higher education, please do get in touch.
